Here's a very short sample of Josiah's mobility. He really can go wherever he wants to now, so the gate to the stairs stays closed, just in case he wants to check if Dad came home. He also chews on everything small enough to get his mouth around, so we're cleaning up a lot more now and he hates to have something taken away from him. Forest said the other night he was even trying to stand up while the girls were getting on pj's in the bathroom. But, Daddy told him "No" because the toilet is not an approved standing aid--gross! Now if it would warm up so he could use those knees to crawl in stead of doing the army crawl, he'd be taking off!
And if you couldn't tell from the video, he's a stout boy who likes to eat! He's almost 22lbs already too. He still enjoys nursing a lot, and I mean a lot!! But he's added several foods to his pallet too. The other night he tried peas, and had no reaction, just gobbled down half of a jar after eating his half of a jar of squash. He also enjoys carrots, peaches, sweet potatoes, oatmeal mixed in any of the above, and fresh bananas still. He also tried some apple puffed cereal bits, to keep him occupied while Mommy swept the floor, so he only got one at a time, so he didn't foil the sweeping.
He got his first virus this week, got a slight fever and an icky nose, but it didn't affect him much. Just made him a little more clingy during the day and more reluctant to sleep at night. Not bad for his first illness. He is doing much better on day two.
