Bring on Baby!

Laura is getting close to having the new baby! Her doctor told her this week that things have begin to move in that direction and that she may have a Christmas baby. Where she was at her appointment Wednesday was where she was a week-and-a-half before Hannah came. So we could be celebrating Christmas with a new baby, or we may not--you can never be to sure about these things. Forest thinks it would be great to have the baby and be home by Christmas and have the waiting over, Laura is more reserved and would like to get through Christmas day first for the sake of those who will be watching the big brother and big sister, but she is ready to not be pregnant anymore after two consecutive years of pregnancy. We don't even remember what she looks like not pregnant! Whenever Baby decides to come we'll be ready. So look for a birth announcement in the next few weeks!!

Thanksgiving

We knew we won't be traveling any time pretty soon since Laura is getting close to having a baby and would be really close at Christmas, so we went out of town for a couple nights for Thanksgiving. We went to Indianapolis since it's close and we've not made that trip yet. It was Hannah's first hotel trip! She really enjoyed it. There were so many things new. We actually had Thanksgiving dinner at a restaurant!

The next day we explored downtown Indy. It was neat, they had some really cool looking buildings and the city had sky-walks so that we didn't have to be out in the windy cold to get around downtown. We had hoped to get inside Union Station to see the building on recommendation from several friends, but it hasn't been open for a while we found out after trying for a while to get in to see it.

After we came home we did have a more private Thanksgiving feast. It wasn't too big, just our favorites: turkey, sweet potato casserole, stuffing, cranberries, gravy. We found out that Nathanael doesn't care for marshmallow on his sweet potatoes and Hannah was more interested in the turkey skin than the meat (yuck). But we had a lot to be thankful for in the last year. We have really been blessed and look forward to even more blessings in the coming months.
