So we spent a week in Florida visiting Forest's family. It was such a joy to meet our newest niece (though we're 15 months late in doing so) and nephew (who is adorable at two months). We were not prepared for how unaccustomed we had become to the FL humidity and heat. After a year and a half it's amazing how a native Floridian can be overwhelmed with the heaviness of the air upon arrival. We had a full week of meeting up with family and introducing the children to the fun things about summer.

We went sailing with Forest's dad. If you ask Nathanael about it he'll tell you "I was in the water with Dad and the boat sailed away. I just wanted to go to Grandma's house. Grandpa came back." The sailboat got stuck on a sand bar during low tide and while we were stuck waiting for a tow, the boys went in the water. While Grandpa tried to break it free as the tide came in, the sails were up trying to help get off the bar. Off went the boat with Laura and Hannah below, while Grandpa barely got on board and slowed the boat and returned for the boys in the water. That was fun. It wasn't all dramatic, though. Nathanael also got to go fishing with Dad for the first time. Mostly he liked to fling the lure around and if he couldn't see the lure he would want to pull the pole up to find it.
We took the children to the beach with Forest's mom, and met up with his sister and her two kids. Hannah didn't like the heat and sun, but after a while she enjoyed being in the water with everyone else. Nathanael took a while to take to the beach too, but the sand was a big hit!
Since our anniversary happened while we were down there, Forest's mom kept our kids overnight while we spent the night in Naples. The dinner cruise was very relaxing-we ate at our own pace and had hot food! We missed the sunset through the rain though. It was nice to sleep in and get up at our own leisure too. Thanks Mom!
After we got back, Hannah and Laura had check-ups. All is growing well with Hannah and Baby. Hannah has four teeth now and sits up really well. When she wants to she can scoot out of frustration to reach what she wants. Next visit for Baby we should get to bring home pictures! Look for those in the coming weeks, even if they may not look much like something we can recognize it is still fun to see what our baby looks like this early and it's amazing to hear it's little heart beating. We can hardly wait!
