They've grown!

Last January Forest decided it would be neat to measure the children on our door frame.  So he had each one stand at the door and marked their height on the frame and put their initials next to the mark with the date 1/11/11.  All year they have had fun measuring themselves against their own marks, and the marks of their brothers and sisters.  Periodically they would ask to be measured and have a new mark drawn when they saw how much they had grown.  We decided to make it an annual occurrence.  When January rolled around I asked Forest when we would do it this year.  He thought it would be neat to do it on the same day as the year, since last year's was on 1/11/11.  So this year on 1/12/12, they again lined up to be measured.

Nathanael has grown 2 3/4 inches in a year.

Hannah has grown 2 1/2 inches in the last year.

Petite Talitha grew 3 1/2 inches last year.

And Josiah beat them all, growing a whopping 6 inches and is taller than Talitha was this time last year.  No wonder his pants are getting to fit a little better in length.

It will be fun to do this again next year on Jan 13th.
