On January 16, 2009, at 8:21 pm, Talitha Moriah Aalderink was born into our family. So much has happened in the year since our "Little Girl God has Provided" came into our lives. It is truly amazing how quickly she has grown! From a brand new baby that cries, to a little girl who says "more, more" when hungry. From a baby that needs to be carried from room to room, to a little girl who can crawl at lightning speed, and now even can walk from room to room! She has had a healthy first year with a few sicknesses, but over-all a very healthy girl. We have enjoyed watching her grow, and look forward to seeing what comes next for her.
We had a small birthday party for her. We invited two families to celebrate with us, and had a total of 10 children and 6 adults in our small apartment! It was a great time of fellowship thanking God for the year He has given to Talitha.
Here is the birthday girl with her table! Her cake had a music note on it because she loves any kind of music, she loves to dance to it, and really enjoys when Mommy and Daddy sing to her.
At first she was not sure what to do with her cupcake. Usually cake is fed to her, but every birthday-girl should get to get messy eating her cake!
It didn't take long for her to dig all the way in and enjoy it, but she still stayed pretty clean. Only got the frosting on her face and hands, and a little bit on her shirt.

As you can see, we had a lot of friends, with just three families!! At one point Laura asked Forest to go back and check on them, since all the adults were in the living room. He stepped to the hallway and smiled. We had 8 children playing happily in the end of our hallway! Only the two youngest were in the living room, and that is because they are not mobile yet.

She enjoyed playing with her new toys. Her favorites were the magna-doodle and Laugh and Learn Puppy--which played music of course, and she danced, of course.
Here she is walking! This video was taken just a few days before her birthday. The day before her birthday she was able to walk from the front of the living room, around two corners and clutter of toys, to the kitchen to follow her Daddy! Pretty soon she'll be running with her brother and sister!
