Wow, time sure does go by quickly! It was five years ago May 31st that the Lord united Forest and Laura in marriage. Since then He has graciously blessed our family with our three children among countless other blessings. We are all healthy and the children are growing and learning as fast as they can. To celebrate the anniversary of the beginning of our family we were able to get away for a long weekend to Chicago. Wow, that is a huge city!! We've been to several big cities, but that was the biggest, with the tallest buildings, and the neatest waterfront. We stayed right in downtown (thanks to Forest's priceline skills) right next to several new gigantic buildings:
We spent one day walking around the Navy Pier and took a water taxi to another area to see more of Lake Michigan and the parks.
They also had a really big fountain.
When we checked out, we got a free breakfast and it was the most elaborate hotel breakfast buffet ever. Even the kids enjoyed it.
On our way out of town we stopped by "The Bean" which is the neatest steel bean that reflects the skyline.
We rejoice in God's providence in these past five years and look forward to many more to come.
