Many of you know Hannah has been having some problems and we've had to add a specialist to her collection of doctors. She got a UTI a couple months ago, and they don't like little ones to get them so they ordered more tests. She had an ultrasound and something totally unfun called a VCUG that showed a double collection system on her right kidney and VUR on both sides. Basically the double collection is nothing--just an extra set of tube-like things taking urine away from her kidney to her ureter. However, the VUR is something that requires more caution. That entails urine backing up toward her kidneys from her bladder. So they don't want her to get another UTI and she's on preventative antibiotics. In one year we'll repeat the ultrasound and VCUG and reevaluate her treatment. Most kids grow out of the VUR by age 5. Since being on the antibiotic 4 days she got thrush in her mouth and shared it with Laura since she's still nursing. So she's on another medication to get rid of that.
Meanwhile, since we've all had nasty colds lately, Nathanael has been complaining that his ear hurts. For a couple days off and on he mentioned his ear needed a band-aid. So off to his doctor we trotted to confirm an ear infection.
Lastly, Laura went to the doctor to confirm that we are pregnant with baby number three! God is truly good and is blessing our family greatly!
